China Glaze - Rain Storm

Hello everyone! Today I've got a swatch from the vault to show you. This is China Glaze Rain Storm, a periwinkle blue shimmer. Aside from the nice color, the subtle aqua glitters and pink shimmer are the things that give this polish a little something special. However, the downside of Rain Storm must be the sheerness, I had to apply four coats to reach opacity, which is really too many for me. But the application was nice and next time I can use it over a periwinkle creme to limit the coats of polish. ;-) What do you think of Rain Storm?

  1. I absolutely love this color! But it does not dry on my nails. After waiting at least an hour it is still very rubbery ( I'm German, so hopefully you can understand my English;) )

  2. It's so pretty! 4 coats is just too wasteful for any polish though; def agree about the creme polish base. :D

  4. I almost bought this one. It reminds me of one of the soon-to-be-released Rescue Beauty Lounge colors, so I decided to skip it and wait for the RBL. I like this one, but now I'm glad I skipped it; I'm not the best painter, so I could NEVER do thin enough coats if I needed to apply FOUR.

  5. What a nice radiant colour. But it would drive me mad, if I had to put 4 layers of any polish on my nails :o)

  9. This is so gorgeous! The four coats wouldn't bother me but I definitely can see how it would be a problem for some =)

  12. It's nice but I would prefer it without the shimmer.

  18. This shade of blue is simply gorgeous, BUT, it is just way too sheer. I used four coats, with dry-time in between. Then topped with Seche Vite. Well, within three or four hours, EVERY SINGLE NAIL was trashed! I'm in the process of trying again now, and I'm afraid it's going to be the same as before. The nail surface feels dry, but deeper down is not. What a bummer, because the color is so nice. And to put it over another color will make it look different. Oh, and something else, this formula is very streaky. Difficult to get it to coat evenly. :(
